- 26: Sorrowful Friday / Viernes de Dolores. Over 50 altars, in observance of Our Lady of Sorrows, are displayed around town.

- 7-11: 8th Anniversary of La Casa de la Cultura "Maria Felix Guerena" with exhibitions, workshops, film screenings and the unveiling of La Paloma de la Paz a project led by Tony Estrada, the Director of Museo Costumbrista and a group of children who have created a large Dove of Peace sculpture using outlawed plastic weapons. - 15: El Grito or Cry given by the current mayor at the Palacio at midnight, as it was given to start the War of Independence

Sat 10 am, Museum, Plaza de Armas. November – April $10 US or peso equivalent. Amigos de Educación sponsor this guided tour of 3 houses in the historical district. The $10 fee is used by the Scholarship Fund to sponsor over 300 children of Alamos to continue their education.

The Alamos Birding Club “Las Alas de Alamos” meets every Saturday morning 'November through April'. The guides have all successfully participated in the bird guide training program, sponsored by ProNatura and the Sonoran Joint Venture.
